Halloween season is finally upon us, which means it’s time to scare up some fun. To make your Halloween as spooky as possible, we’ve created a list of the top three haunted attractions in North Carolina.
For the most frightening Halloween attraction in the state, you need to head to Lawndale to check out the Haunted Pyramids. This attraction has four large indoor haunted houses, all in one location, giving you plenty of opportunities to get your heart pumping. Step into The Asylum for a little bit of madness, or conquer the dark in the Monster Manor for a gothic thrill. Admission includes all four haunted houses and costs between $20 and $25, depending on the date.
Grissettown Haunted Trail
About two hours away from Fayetteville is the Grissettown Haunted Trail in Ocean Isle Beach. This tense self-guided tour winds through the woods, taking about 30 fear-filled minutes to complete. While it’s won numerous local awards for being so scary, it also benefits a great cause: the Grissettown Fire Department.
Insanitarium: Nightmare on Main Street
Located in Laurinburg, which is an hour from Fayetteville, is Insanitarium. This 14,000-square-foot haunted house will haunt your nightmares, giving you the scare you crave during the Halloween season. You can attend a free block party, catch live music, and eat delicious food before you head in for the fright of your life. Admission is $10 per person and is only open to children 12 and over.
