November means prepping for Thanksgiving, football, and enjoying the autumn weather while it lasts. It’s also a great time of year in Fayetteville to get out and enjoy a range of events. Here are some November events near Fayetteville that you should add to your calendar.
A Dickens Holiday
Take a step back into Victorian times in Downtown Fayetteville during the 20th annual A Dickens Holiday. From 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm on November 29th, you can catch a horse-drawn carriage past merchant windows adorned with Victorian decorations, enjoy holiday delicacies like gingerbread and cider, and even take photos with Father Christmas. It’s a lovely family-friendly event that will give you a chance to get ahead of your holiday shopping while discovering more about Christmas Past.
Fayetteville Turkey Trot
Before you dig into your delicious Thanksgiving feast, why not take a run? Take part in the Fayetteville Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 28th, at Segra Stadium. This event gives you the chance to run either a 5K or an untimed mile run, working off the calories you’re going to consume later in the day for a guilt-free celebration. There will be Overall and Age Group Awards, along with a Team and Individual Costume Contest.
