Honda finally gave the world a first-hand look at the 2020 Honda Civic Type R. This performance-focused vehicle was unveiled during the Tokyo Auto Salon, and highlighted a number of updates throughout to make it an even more exciting option if you love to drive.
The Type R has improved its driving dynamics in a variety of ways. Its new two-piece brake rotors and new brake pads help improve high-speed braking efficiency, while its suspension revisions give you superior ride comfort.
On the outside, the Civic R boasts a larger front grille opening to help improve its engine cooling abilities. It will also come available in a new Type R-exclusive exterior color – Boost Blue.
Throughout the cabin, you will find a more refined design that still speaks to the Civic Type R’s athletic persona. The Alcantara™ leather-wrapped steering wheel and newly redesigned shifter knob add an elegant touch to the design. This performance-oriented vehicle also now comes standard with the Honda Sensing® suite of safety and driver-assistance technologies.
You will be able to get a peak 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque with the Type R, thanks to its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. You can opt for one of three driving modes – Comfort, Sport, and +R.
Come catch the Civic Type R at Bryan Honda when it launches later this year.
