Here in North Carolina, fall means bold, beautiful colors all across the state. It also means slick, wet roads, colder temperatures, and longer nights. As you are changing out your wardrobe, don’t forget to get your car ready for fall, too. Here are a few tips to prepare your vehicle for autumn.
Check your lights
Earlier sunsets mean you will be using your headlights more often. Check all of your exterior lights to make sure all the bulbs are working and aimed in the right direction.
Get new wipers
You want to make sure you can see out of your window when the rain starts. Wiper blades should be replaced at least once a year. If they are cracked or leaving streaks, it is time for new ones.
Inspect your tires
Wet leaves on the road can lead to slippery situations. Make sure your tires have enough tread to grip the pavement in inclement weather.
Make sure your heater works
No one wants to drive to work in a frigid car. Check your entire HVAC system now to make sure everything is in working order.
