Honda Launches “Keep the Peace” Campaign for New Odyssey

If you’re a parent, you know how tough it is to “keep the peace.” You’re not alone; parents all over the world struggle with preventing their kids from arguing, whether they won’t share their toys or they just like to annoy each other for no reason. That’s why the new 2018 Honda Odyssey was designed to help busy parents pay attention to what their active kids are up to. This is showcased in Honda’s new “Keep the Peace” campaign, a series of advertisements illustrating how convenient the Odyssey is for families everywhere.

The minute-long ad that kicks off the campaign opens with two giant monsters attacking a city. One of them picks up a bus, which the other monster wants, and the two begin to fight over it. While the two monsters are fighting, two soldiers make a plan to split the earth, separating them before they can cause any more damage. Right at that moment, the scene cuts to reveal that the two monsters are actually just a brother and sister fighting over a toy bus, and the whole “splitting the earth” thing? Actually just the Odyssey’s “Magic Slide” seating at work, allowing Mom to easily separate the kids and give the sister a new toy airplane to distract her.

“When kids are happy, parents are happy,” says Susie Rossick, Honda Marketing assistant vice president, who highlighted the core of the “Keep the Peace” campaign in a statement to The Drum.
