Lafayette Birthday Celebration

This annual festival celebrates the birth of Lafayette’s namesake, the Marquis de Lafayette, who played a pivotal role in the Revolutionary War. Head downtown September 8th and 9th to join the party with music, historical reenactments, and food.

Renaissance Faire 

Take a step back in time with a visit to Fort Bragg’s annual Renaissance Faire held on September 16th and 17th this year. The fair costs $10 per car and includes stage performances, jousting, period musicians, and Renaissance-themed food and drink.

Evil Dead: The Musical

If you love all things zombie, be sure to head to the Gilbert Theater to catch this hilarious musical rendition of Sam Raimi’s cult classic films. The Show runs from September 22nd to October 8th. Purchase tickets ahead of time online

North Carolina in the Great War 

The Museum of Cape Fear will commemorate the centennial of World War I with a focus on the multitude of North Carolinians who served in the war. There will be a special exhibit from October 3rd to October 8th.
