Winter Car Prep Tips to Get You Through the Cold

Wintery Road | Fayetteville, NC

Driving can be difficult during winter months. From icy roads to unexpected rainstorms — not to mention colder temperatures — it’s important to make sure that your car is ready for winter. These winter car prep tips should make sure your vehicle continues to function throughout the cold months.

Keep an eye on your tires. When temperatures drop, so does your tire pressure. Make sure your tires have the appropriate amount of pressure throughout the winter. Also, check your tires’ tread depth so that you can get the best possible grip on the road.

Change to winter tires. With the winter comes snow. While we don’t get a whole lot of snow in Fayetteville, you can still opt to switch your all-season tires for winter ones. These tires are specifically made to give you a good grip on snowy and icy roads. We’re happy to help you switch to your winter tires here at Bryan Honda.

Take care of your battery. Your battery will become less effective as the temperature drops. So, if you have an old battery, you might find yourself stranded with a dead car in cold weather. If you need your battery to be checked, we can do that for you. Just make an appointment, and we can make sure your battery is in tip-top condition.

If your vehicle needs any of the preventative measures we’ve mentioned, swing by the service department at Bryan Honda. We’ll have your car ready for the winter in no time.
